Please be mindful of library books.
Many books have been returned to the library wet or damaged and have incurred fines and charges.
Help your student keep library books in good condition.
Remember to keep water bottles and food containers out of backpacks to prevent accidents.
I encourage you to read with your child over the Fall break and visit the public library. Assist your child in choosing appropriate and interesting books.
Thank you! Ms. Crosby

Parents, here is an important message to you sent from our music teacher, Ms. Mungin.
“Parents, I hope your child has had a great start to recorder practicing at home. For the next 8 weeks, students will be studying how to play the recorder. It is my hope that students will be encouraged to practice at home so they will receive music bucks when they turn in their logs. Please sign your child’s log only if they practiced songs that they have been assigned. Your child has a music sheet to practice with. Students will only receive credit for the work that they were assigned and for having a parent signature.
Lastly, some students borrowed a recorder. They should return the TEASLEY recorder every week. Recorders will be on sale this week for $6.50. An order will go home this week. Please place the EXACT money in the designated white envelope and have your child bring the envelope to Ms. Mungin. Please don’t place any recorder money in the school money box.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ms. Mungin at Roxanne.Mungin@cobbk12.org
Thank you to the parents who took the time to come visit our classroom this morning for the Magical Morning of Math! I hope you were all able to take away some knowledge of some of the strategies we will be using this year in math.
Here’s an update about what’s been going on in our class:
We have began working on subtraction using the standard algorithm. Students seem to be catching on fast! Please take advantage of Front Row for extra practice at home.
In writing, we are continuing to work on our informative pieces. Students have been researching their own topics to write about. We will publish these outside of our classroom and students will vote on the pieces they like the most. The student who earns the most votes will win our Writing Contest for this month and will have their name posted outside of our classroom for being an awesome author!
Progress reports were sent home today. Please fill out and sign the form attached to the front and return to school tomorrow. Also, please be aware that these grades are only reflective of the past 3 weeks. Many more grades will be added before the end of the nine weeks. You can continue to monitor your child’s grades online via ParentVUE.
This Friday is Move Night at Teasley! We will be screening Zootopia starting at 6:30 in the gym. Also this Friday is All Pro Dads at 7:00 in the Teasley Cafe.
Have a great weekend!
