It’s Wednesday, which means that our holiday break is nearly upon us!
We have had a wonderful and exciting three days here at school. Our holiday party was a success and the students had such a fun time. Thank you to all who were able to attend and bring a treat for us to enjoy!
The field trip to the Cobb Youth Museum was an eye opening adventure that took us back to the American Revolution. Students dressed up in period costumes and played out the roles of many famous men and women from that time. They learned of the many important events that changed our nation’s course of history such as the Boston Tea Party and the signing of the Declaration of Independence. So fun!
Thank you so much for the amazing gifts that I have received. You all are so supportive and I couldn’t be more grateful to have such an amazing class of students and parents!
I also want to remind everyone that over the break I will be updating grades and getting everything ready for report cards to come home in January.
Have a wonderful, relaxing break! Happy Holidays!!! 🙂
I just wanted to update you all on what will be happening next week as we finish out the last three days before the break.
Monday from 8:00-9:00 is our classroom holiday party! Parents may attend this fun gathering as we have a yummy breakfast and make some fun holiday crafts! You are more than welcome to bring something for the class to share. Please check out the Sign Up page here to sign up if you are interested in bringing a treat!
Tuesday is our field trip to the Cobb Youth Museum. It is a half day field trip. Students will depart from school at 10:45 and return at 2:00 in time for dismissal. I am still missing a few permission slip forms from some students, so please make sure you sign and turn those in if you would like your child to participate! The cost of the field trip is $5. Students attending the field trip should still wear their Teasley school attire.
Wednesday is the last day before break! Students may dress down this day with a $1 donation.
The last few weeks have been busy for us, and I have fallen behind on grading and entering grades into the gradebook for you to view on ParentVUE. Over the holiday break, I will be spending some time catching up on these things and getting us ready for when we return. I apologize for this! After the break, all grades will be up to date.
That is all the updates I have for now! Have a great weekend!
