Updates and Upcoming Events!

Good afternoon!

I just want to give everyone a classroom update as well as remind you of some things going on at Teasley!

Here’s what we are currently focusing on in class:

Math: Comparing fractions, adding fractions, and converting fractions into decimals

Science: Light and Sound

Reading: We are still continuing to focus on finding the main idea in a text and supporting the main idea with details and evidence from the text.

Writing: The Milestones are approaching, so we are focusing on perfecting our ability to write to a prompt. Practice, practice, practice!

There are no spelling words this week. We will resume spelling next week.

That’s all for classroom updates! Here’s what’s going on at Teasley:

  • Thursday from 5pm to 7pm is STEM Night! I will be there showing students some awesome experiments with sound! Come out and join the fun!
  • Update from PTA: Thanks to all those who supported the Tiger Trot! We raised $31,350 for Teasley! With these funds, the Teasley PTA will be installing a traverse climbing wall in the gym, which all of our Teasley Tigers will be able to use in PE! Don’t forget these ways to contribute to Teasley: Keep clipping those BOX TOPS, go to www.teasleytigers.com for the amazon link, go to krogercommunityrewards.com to sign up for Teasley, and show your Publix Partners key fob at Publix. Thank you!!!

That’s all for today! Have a great rest of the week!
