Here is an update on what we are doing this week:
Reading: We are going to continue to focus on finding the main idea of an informational text. On Thursday, we will have a test.
Writing: We are still working on our introduction to opinion writing.
Social Studies: This week in Social Studies we are focusing on our European Explorers (Christopher Columbus, John Cabot, Jacques Cartier, Juan Ponce de Leon, Henry Hudson, and Vasco Nunez de Balboa). No test this week.
Math: Our math test this week on multiplicative comparisons is being pushed to Thursday. We will continue to practice these skills up until the test. A study guide was sent home today to complete and study at home.
Spelling: Spelling words this week are words with the long i sound. Students were given spelling packets today and the list can be found on my Spelling City Page. The spelling test will be on Friday.
That’s it for this week! Please make sure you are practicing your recorder for Music!
